We're turning the Gillian Theatre into a giant living room filled with cardboard boxes.
Come play.
Enter a world of imagination and creation as our friends from Filament Theatre transform Writers Theatre into an interactive play-space for the young and young at heart. Using cardboard boxes, sheets, clothesline and more, build adventures of your own devising. With theatrical design elements working together to support creative play, all are sure to be swept away in the adventure.

PUBLIC PERFORMANCES
The main event! Young people and their friends and family can purchase individual tickets to our Saturday and Sunday performances. There may be no more than 3 children for every 1 adult ticket purchased. At least 1 child and 1 adult ticket must be purchased to attend.

PRIVATE PARTIES
Ready to book an entire birthday bash, neighborhood frolic, community group or youth event? Call our Box Office at 847-242-6000 to book your private performance. Private performances come with special add-ons; 30 minutes of private party time to use as you see fit, bottomless mocktails, and a commemrative photo!
ADULT NIGHTS
Forts aren’t just for kids! At these select evening performances, grownups can grab a drink at the WT bar and rediscover their inner child. 21+
