$15 for adults, $5 for students
It’s all my parents’ fault! Join us at Writers Theatre as a group of talented storytellers show their (tiger) stripes with stories of family dynamics, double-edged stereotypes, the complexities of the immigrant experience, and more. This intimate evening of storytelling is curated by 70+ time Moth Story Slam winner Nestor Gomez and features, among others, Chicago’s Dr. Ada Cheng.
Meet the Storytellers!
Bring the whole family for an afternoon of fun at Writers Theatre on Saturday, October 15th! While parents and caregivers catch the 3pm matinee of Mike Lew’s sharp comedy Tiger Style!, young people can play with WT Education’s professional teaching artists. Inspired by the whirlwind travel of Jennifer and Albert in the show, participants will explore theatre games from across the globe.
Our matinee workshops are designed to be active, fun, flexible, and adaptable to multiple ages and abilities. All are welcome. Please let us know how we can make the experience successful and rewarding for your young person. For questions please contact Community Engagement Manager Kristin Hammargren at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Young people from ages 5-12 are welcome. We ask that they are able to use the bathroom by themselves. The workshop costs $10 and will take place in the theatre building. Please plan to drop off your participant between 2:40pm and 2:50pm and pick them up no later than 10 minutes after curtain. See the latest WT safety protocols here. Spaces are limited and registration is required so sign up early!?
