Host your own post-show discussion with friends or reflect on the play yourself with our list of discussion questions. Spoilers ahead, so be sure to save these for after you see a performance.

  1. How did your perception of the characters and the circumstances of the story evolve as the play progressed? When the play ended, did you have a strong opinion about whether Lloyd or Jane was telling the truth? Whose reality was more believable? Why?
  2. The play ends with a cliff hanger. Why do you think the playwright chose to end it in that moment of suspense between Lloyd and Jane?
  3. What do you think happens in the moments after the final blackout? What happens in the following months?
  4. Loyd and Jane hold differing views about the role and utility of technology in their lives. How would you describe that difference and what has influenced their perspectives? Do you tend to agree with one character more than another? Why might you feel that way?
  5. Because The Gillian Theatre is a flexible space, the stage and seating can be configured in many arrangements. Why do you think the scenic designer and director chose an alley configuration where the audience faced each other?
    1. Fun fact: the opening through which the audience views the stage is a 16:9 ratio, the same as an iPhone.
