Raphael Grimes

Growing up in Takoma Park, Maryland, Raphael found an early passion for theatre, beginning with a role as a Fairy in Midsummer Nights Dream at 11 years old. Going to college at Northwestern University, where he graduated with a double BA in Theatre and History, he discovered a love of lighting technology and the artistry it can provide, as well as the incredible Chicago Theatre community. He has worked with many local companies including Chicago Shakes, Court Theatre, Steppenwolf, Chicago Childrens Theatre, and the Chicago International Puppet Festival.
