Julia Zayas-Meléndez has had the honor of working with many theatres in Chicagoland, including First Folio Theatre, The Second City, Paramount Theatre, Windy City Playhouse, Porchlight Music Theatre, Oak Park Festival Theatre, Route 66, Marriott Theatre, Drury Lane, Fox Valley Repertory, Apple Tree, About Face, Chicago Dramatists, Steppenwolf, Remy Bumppo, Next, Court, Madison Rep, and Theater at the Center. A graduate of Emerson College in Boston, Julia began her stage management career in Massachusetts, with companies like Opera Boston, Boston Theatre Works, The Theatre Offensive, Commonwealth Shakespeare Company, SpeakEasy Stage, and Shakespeare & Company. She took the acclaimed Route 66 production of A Twist of Water Off-Broadway in 2012, and celebrated World Theatre Day 2009 in Konya, Turkey with ShawChicago. Julia is a proud member of Actor's Equity Association, and also is the owner of a small business – Crafty Broads, www.craftybroadschicago.com.
