At Writers Theatre: Quixote: On the Conquest of Self
Nelson is Artistic Director of Pride Films & Plays where he appeared in Some Men, The Children’s Hour, The Boys Upstairs, and Men on the Verge of a His-Panic Breakdown, for which he received a 2016 Non-Equity Joseph Jefferson Award nomination in Solo Performance. Additional Chicago credits include The Compass (Steppenwolf for Young Audiences), Graveyard of Empires (16th Street Theatre), What of the Night? (Stage Left & Cor Theatre), Six Stories Tall (Adventure Stage Chicago, where he is an Associate Artist) and many more. His on-camera work includes a starring role in the feature film En Algun Lugar (Official Selection—2017 Reeling Film Festival) and a supporting role in the indie feature Soul Sessions. He is a member of The Alliance of Latinx Theatre Artists’ playwrights circle, El Semillero. In 2016, he received Windy City Times’ 30 Under 30 Award which recognizes members of the LGBTQ youth community. Mr. Rodriguez is represented by Gray Talent Group.
