Lauren Gardier
Lauren Gardier joined the WT Advancement department in January of 2017. A lifelong lover of the arts, Lauren has devoted her time on and off stage for many years. While earning her Bachelor's degree at Butler University in a specialized artistic non-profit management program, Lauren interned with Birch Creek Music Performance Center (Door County, WI) and the Ravinia Festival (Highland Park, IL) to manage intensive summer music programs for bright young performers. She started her advancement career with the Fort Wayne Philharmonic, where she managed annual individual and corporate giving, special events, and regional giving for the full-time orchestra. Her passion for supporting the development of confident and courageous young women led her next to Girl Scouts, where she focused on major gifts, sponsorships, and alumni relations. After earning her M.B.A., Lauren branched out to corporate marketing, spending two years growing private label business at a Chicagoland based, publicly-traded CPG company. Lauren's start at WT marks an exciting and cherished return to her roots in the artistic landscape.
In addition to her role at Writers Theatre, she currently serves on the Board of Directors for Girls Rock! Chicago, an organization focused on helping girls, trans youth, and gender non-conforming youth build self-esteem through programming that combines music education, performance, and social justice.
