On Monday, January 30, 2017, Writers Theatre is proudly commemorated LEED Gold Certification awarded by the U.S. Green Building Council-Illinois Chapter.
The event, held in the theatre center’s Litowitz Atrium, featured remarks by Writers Theatre Managing Director Jon Faris and Elaine Tinberg, past Board President and building project leader. Remarks were concluded by Brian Imus, the Executive Director of the U.S. Green Building Council-Illinois Chapter. Guests for the presentation included a mix of Board members, donors, design team members, and Village of Glencoe representatives.
The LEED Plaque that was presented is now a permanent fixture in the Litowitz Atrium.
