Writers' Leadership

Writers’ Theatre is led by some of the most well-respected leaders in Chicago and the nation. From the theater’s executive and artistic directors – who together have guided the theater’s growth throughout its 20 year history – to a deeply committed Board of Trustees, the stewardship of the theater’s future is in good hands.

The cost of producing theatre continues to rise. Currently, ticket sales cover only half of our costs, with the remainder being made up by generous individual, corporate and governmental support.
